Growing up in Beijing, I became curious towards different buildings and structures and aspired to explore how structures personify varied cultures, which later becomes a powerful drive for focusing on architectural design during my college years. In addition to school modules, I always stepped out to explore and experience different cities and countries through traveling. My wide exposure to Europe and Southeast Asia provided me with a new lens to view the world. Overwhelmed by buildings with a vast range of styles and characteristics, especially those in harmony with surrounding nature, I started to think about how to achieve harmony between human beings and nature by balancing human activities, technological advancements, and ecological growth. My interest is also intrigued by experimenting with new materials to design more excellent buildings that can raise public awareness of social issues.
