The built environment forms a crucial part of our lives therefore, I believe that as designers we need to make paramount effort to consider the users of the built environment. This enables designers to create proposals with a purpose that serves and addresses culture, behaviours and expectations of those that will directly interact with the built environment. Moreover, I acknowledge that we spend most of our lives within architecture and the built environment and this could possibly lead to an effect of our well-being and health. Therefore it is crucial to understand, design and adapt with the user in mind and ensure that spaces created should positively impact someone’s mental health.
